Many days of my life
Are filled with strife
A million things to do
And I just lose my cool
The worries that I bring
To my stubborn ways I cling
In humanity I go on with my tasks
For the help of God I often forget to ask
Until I pause and look at me
Is this the one He wants to see?

There were many times I wanted to quit
The journey's long and it's just not worth it
In times of trouble
When I get uncomfortable
He said the narrow path is the way to go
Jesus His son He sent the way to show
When storms cause us to fall
We can still stand tall
Because He'll always pick us up
Through it all

Late at night before I fall asleep
The failures of the day in my mind so deep
Hey God is it possible?
To make tomorrow short and bearable?
All I wanna be is that beacon of light
To point the lost to the way that's right
I'm hopeless as can be
